Lorraine Mold (Supervisor)

Lorraine Mold (Supervisor) Lorraine is our Playgroup Supervisor. She first attended the playgroup with her own children in this time she became a committee member, treasurer, and then an assistant before becoming the playgroup supervisor in 2001. Lorraine has completed her level 5 qualification in childcare. She also holds many other qualifications in childcare and very academic. Lorraine is very approachable and fair with children, parents and her staff. Lorraine works everyday.

 Sharon Stacey – Deputy Supervisor

Sharon Stacey (Deputy Supervisor) Sharon is our deputy supervisor; Sharon has four children of her own and five grandchildren. Sharon is always approachable and is always ready with open arms to welcome the children at the start of the session. She has been working at the playgroup for the last 11 years. Sharon is approachable with everyone and always willing to help. Sharon works every day. Sharon has completed her level 5 qualification in childcare.

 Jan Gascoigne

 Jan Gascoigne (Early Years Practitioner) Jan is our longest serving member of staff; she started on the committee when her own children were at playgroup before starting work at the playgroup. She has worked here for 33 years. Jan has lots of patience and is always firm but fair. She is good at helping children to develop their writing. Jan works mornings.

 Jane Bates – SENCO/EOCO

Jane Bates (Early Years Practitioner, SENCO, EOCO) Jane has worked at the playgroup for 26 years, she is our special educational needs co– ordinator and works closely with children and their parents who need a little extra help. Jane is also our member of staff who is trained in equal opportunities and plans activities linked to festivals and other cultures. Jane enjoys helping children with craft activities and is never happier than when she is getting as messy as the children. Jane works Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Jessica Matthews (Early Years Practitioner) Jess has worked at the playgroup for 4 years. She has recently gained her level 3 diploma in childcare. Jess attended playgroup as a student and carried out her placement with us before becoming a member of staff. Jess is quiet but loves the children. Jess works every day.

 Dawn Lines

Dawn Lines (Early Years Practitioner) Dawn is our newest member of staff. She has 5 children, four of whom have attended at St Marys Playgroup. Dawn has been a stay at home mum for the past 6 years and has volunteered at several primary schools. Dawn is currently studding her Level 3 whilst working with us. Dawn works every day.
